Breast Augmentation

Procedure :

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure aimed at increasing the size of the breasts and improving their shape and appearance. There are several methods for breast augmentation, and the appropriate approach depends on the patients condition and personal preferences. One of the most common methods is
1. Breast implantation using silicone implants, where cosmetic implants made of silicone are inserted either beneath the breast tissue or beneath the chest muscle. The size and shape of the implant are adjusted based on the patients preferences.
2. Breast augmentation procedures can also involve fat grafting, where fat is taken from other areas of the body such as the abdomen or buttocks and injected into the breasts to achieve volume enhancement and improve symmetry.
3. Breast augmentation can involve the self-tissue of the breast itself and this method is suitable for patients who do not want a silicone implant or have a suitable breast size but flabby.

Length :

The procedure typically takes about one hour.

Anesthesia :

General anesthesia is used.

Hospital Stay :

Usually, patients are able to leave the hospital on the same day.

Possible Side Effects :

Possible side effects may include increased or decreased nipple or breast skin sensitivity, and this may be permanent in some cases. You can discuss all the details with Dr. Salma Al-Hamad during your visit.

Other Risks :

Typically, there is mild to moderate swelling and changes in nipple sensation (increase or decrease), and temporary bruising may occur. The breast or chest may be sensitive for a few weeks. Risks include the removal or replacement of silicone implants, which may cause tightness or hardness of the breast, and problems such as bleeding or infection.

Recovery :

Patients can usually return to their normal activities within two weeks or more, and sports activities may be resumed after three months of the procedure. Scars may fade within several months to one year. Appropriate advice will be provided to each patient during your visit.
